The 3 plates on the right are from the Ishihara colour test book. They use a process called 'colour confusion' to pick out people with a colour deficiency. Try them yourself but remember this is only a demonstration. ISHI_5.JPG (169638 bytes)
Click on each image to see a full sized test plate. You may or may not see a number in the array of dots. If you can see '57', '15' and '45' then your colour vision is probably normal. If you see '35' in the first, '17' in the 2nd or can hardly see any numbers in the 3rd, then you may have a red-green deficiency. If you can hardly see any numbers in the first 2 plates then you are probably highly colour deficient or 'colour blind'. ISHI_8.JPG (186032 bytes)
The tests are not very specific and with the difficulties of computer screens and internet images, the results are only a guide. If you notice any difficulty with the plates then please have a proper test under controlled conditions for a proper diagnosis. ISHI_13.JPG (161630 bytes)
